in the woods on a snowy night,
the land is quiet and without light.
cold wind kisses me, snowflakes fall,
as I listen to the hush of nature's call.
the scent of pine is in the air,
a fragrance so sweet and rare.
I taste the chill upon my tongue,
as dark welcomes the night, young.
the snow is soft beneath my feet,
I stand still, ever so eager to meet
as my eyes behold a wondrous sight,
a breathtaking woodland of white.
I've waited for this moment to arrive
and finally, now my senses come alive.
a memory to cherish forevermore,
the peace of the woods, like never before.
