A river's pebble, worn and round,
Smooth through time, on solid ground.
Nature's sculpture, water's art,
Smoothness etched, a work of heart.
Smooth winds dance through fields of wheat,
Caressing whispers, secrets sweet.
Golden sunset, a painter's stroke,
Smoothness lingers in nature's cloak.
Oh, the world in smooth array,
In every moment, every day.
Smoothness whispers, soft and clear,
A tranquil hymn for all to hear.

When Powers of Sun Magnified
After childhood years spent listening to these stories at the feet of Nana Belle, great aunts and great uncles, this part (my part) became both easy and hard. Easy when you grow up to become a writer. Hard knowing the oral traditions steeped in a history vast enough to eclipse the oldest mariner’s voyage are in danger of being lost simply because no one sits still to listen anymore.
