In slumber's gentle embrace, she quietly lay,

A mother's breath stilled, her spirit slipped away.

A world upturned, shattered dreams in despair,

A son's heart shattered, left tattered and bare.

Her touch, her voice, now mere echoes in the night,

A haunting absence, a void devoid of light.

He clings to memories, etched deep within his soul,

Yearning for her warmth, his heart forever stole.

Guilt's relentless grip, a burden hard to bear,

He questions if he showed enough love and care.

But in the depths of loss, a truth remains,

Her love, her legacy, forever sustains.

Through tears that fall like rain, he finds solace and release,

In the arms of her memory, his wounded heart finds peace.

For though she's gone, her love forever shall keep,

A mother's sweet lullaby, even in eternal sleep.
