Where We Find Ourselves

To the Moon and back

Where We Find Ourselves

I see you

Playing mind games with yourself

Feeling the weight of responsibility

No end as far as thine eye can see

Shall you live your illusion of immortality?

A blooming flower

The essence of life

Free, and without strife

A dreary lilac weeps whilst it rains

longingly, as its life slowly drains

And through your quest to hold your power

I shall stand while you shall tower

Walk with me, and thou shall not falter

For the Moon often sheds her coat

To return, though brighter and stout

With a spring in her step and feeling spry

Keeping over you

with her watchful eye
