Where The Bright Ones Gather

They stand in rows, yet none are truly matching,

Each one adorned with stories of their own,

In colours soft and quietly dispatching,

A sense that difference need not stand alone.

Their feathers hold the patterns of becoming,

A thousand paths that never intersect,

And though the world may favour something numbing,

They choose a life that dares to self reflect.

No voice is raised above another’s breathing,

No need to claim a space already shared,

There is a calm within their simple being,

A quiet proof that none are left impaired.

A dragonfly drifts gently through the moment,

Its wings a whisper brushing fragile air,

And something in that soft and fleeting movement,

Reminds them all how light can still repair.

Each tiny crown sits loosely, never binding,

A symbol worn without a weight to prove,

No need for rules, no endless, rigid finding,

Of ways to shape what simply is and moves.

The ground beneath them hums with unseen rhythm,

A pulse that does not ask for them to change,

It holds them all, without a need to trim them,

Or make their quiet beauty rearrange.

They do not speak, yet something here is spoken,

A truth that rests beyond what words can say,

That nothing whole was ever truly broken,

Just waiting for a place to gently stay.

And in that space, where difference is not hidden,

Where colour breathes without a need to fight,

They stand as one, though never once forbidden,

To shine alone within a shared soft light.
