Down by the peach tree

Where the flowers grew below and the birds sang above

A young girl stood outside in the sun's glowing embrace

As she looked towards the sky she presented a smile in return to nature who endowed her with such an enthralling scene.

Far in the distance a voice she knew offered her a warm meal to enjoy inside with those whom she loves most .

To this moment created by time she gave her heart

To these people she gifted her happiness

With time the girl grew

She was far from the peach tree and far from those she loved most

She no longer listened to the birds’ songs and rejected the sun's embrace

She felt the things she offered in return for the gifts life had given her were vanished and longed for a feeling she no longer felt

In one of her sorrowful nights as she laid her head to rest with tears streaming down her face she decided to use her last gift .

A dream

She closed her eyes with the hope of finding life

A few moments after beginning her search , time stumbled upon the girl and urgently suggested she seek nature’s help .

Nature allowed her old friend sun to guide her to life

Sun led her through the sea of memories until arriving at soul

There she found life, she began to weep falling into life’s arms wondering why she felt empty, tired, and as though she had nothing left to give .

Life gently told her she had become lost and was seeking home

She asked where she could find home

Life explained that home is not only outside by the peach tree or inside with a warm meal and those she loves.

So the girl asked where once more

To which life responded , “ within. Home is within you , it's anywhere or anything you want it to be. It is simply a feeling inside of you that you create . That was your greatest gift to me, carrying home within.”

The girl awoke to the sweet song of a bird and a cozy glow on her leg.

As she sat up and looked out her window sill, she felt something different yet so familiar

Home .
