Where's the Snow?
A poem about the lack of snow in Upstate New York today.

I sit by the window and think
of the white powder in which my feet used to sink.
My boots longingly remember
the beautiful wintery Decembers
that passed by before I could blink.

Nicely elegiac and wistful. I wish it made me miss the snow, but we're having lake effect squalls today and the stuff has come back to Southern Ontario with a vengeance. At least the wind keeps sweeping it off the driveway so I don't have to fire up Blowy McBlowface (the snowblower)!
