Where now do I go

Like a violin’s bow

Swinging wildly

While I beg my mind to sit idly

Trying to find the comfort of my own arms

Ignoring the lure of others’ charms

Who one day I will realize

(And I will feel scandalized)

Were never meant for me

I will be thankful I was set free

Of a life I thought I wanted

My own mind had taunted

Forgetting what I begged for

When I left out that door

For the horror of freedom

And a sake of my own

To find a home

Within my own soul
