where is living found

Its not always the thoughts

that speak loudest at night

my introspection thrives in the dark of night

shadows welcome questions

and the deeper thoughts that flicker

in daylight feel fuller

and easier to grasp once the sun has set

my heart thrives in the act of being alone

quiet gives way to tsunamis of thought

held at bay by outer sound

by the chatter of the rest of the world

and flourishes when solitude is found

my joy springs forth in the grayest

of days and survives under the

intense heat of the sun on the days

most cloudless and refills when things are

most tranquil, most peace filled

Its not always the most

social of days

Profound Though when you said “It’s not always the thoughts that speak loudest at night,” I just remembered my bouts of insomnia and could only think “Wait, if it’s not spiralling thoughts, what keeps you awake?” After I finished reading, maybe that’s not what you were talking about lol
