Where Did We Go Wrong

Where did the bump in the road come from?

Where Did We Go Wrong

One day, you are coasting along in your relationship, believing it is all sweet sailing.

Then you suddenly wake up one morning and realise your relationship has hit a major bump in the road and you are horrified to find, that bump has been there for quite some time.

You are not coasting along happily, you are in fact, settling! Settling on easy, with your head buried in the sand.

So where do you go from here?

**********************************************************************

Just where did we go wrong

When we were meant to be?

My love for you so strong

The same as yours for me.

***

But somewhere I lost my freedom

The excitements become nil,

The laughters gone, so has our love

So why are we together still?

**********************************************************************

It's here at this bumpy crossroad that a decision needs to be made.

Wake up and smell the roses? Remember what your partner and their love means to you, and decide to fight for your relationship?

Or, throw in the towel and walk away?

It's time to pay the piper and decide exactly what it is that you plan to do.

About the Creator

Colleen Millsteed

My first love is poetry — it’s like a desperate need to write, to free up space in my mind, to escape the constant noise in my head. Most of the time the poems write themselves — I’m just the conduit holding the metaphorical pen.
