Where Did My Time Go?

All you want time for yourself, but something in household gets in the way.

I

Where did my time go?

It went fast, never slow.

When I wanted mine,

somebody had to say no.

II

Finish their chore

because they easily bore.

No use fighting

All it brings is war.

III

My hope and dream

falls out of the ripping  seam.

And I’m left

picking up for my family, my team.

IV

Frustration sets in

while I live in this garbage bin.

I try to clean this house,

but never come close to a win.

V

A clean house

for my little mouse?

Not a chance;

he is a dirty louse.

VI

And the chores done

By my youngest son?

Nope he’d rather

play and have fun.

VII

Wife to help me

when I make a plea?

She’d rather sleep

than to wake and see.

VIII

The laptop I use,

becomes my teenage son’s booze.

By the time I get it back,

it’s cracked from abuse.

IX

Time to watch TV

for some relaxing time for me.

Nope! The remote

in the younger son’s hand to be.

X

Unread books pile up on the table,

unfinished journals become a fable.

Cleaning up after others means

completing these I’m unable.

XI

All I want is time

that is not a request that’s sublime.

But fate in this household means

I’ll never find my life’s rhyme.
