Where Beginnings Wait
Walking toward the truth that every ending opens another beginning.

I stepped into a stretch of land
where dawn rose slowly,
lifting color across plains
as though the sky breathed in long, steady waves.
The earth felt ancient beneath me,
holding stories in every shift of soil.
Wind moved through tall grass
in sweeping currents,
shaping patterns that drifted
like thoughts forming and dissolving.
Birds crossed the sky in wide arcs,
their calls carrying a brightness
that made the morning feel newly made.
I walked until I reached a river
that carried its own voice,
steady at first, then rising
as though stirred by distant storms.
Its surface held the sky
in restless fragments,
changing with each passing moment.
I watched the water surge forward,
a reminder that motion
is a truth the world never abandons.
Along the river I met a woman
who studied the land
with devotion shaped by years
of returning to the same trails.
She spoke of storms
that reshaped the terrain,
and clear days
that revealed hidden contours.
She said nature teaches
through repetition and surprise,
through cycles that continue
even when the world feels uncertain.
I carried her words
as I moved through the paths and rising hills.
The land urged me onward,
showing how renewal begins
in places where silence once settled.
Growth, I learned,
is a force that refuses to fade,
even when the sky darkens
or the horizon shifts.
And as I walked,
the world seemed to widen,
as though every open stretch of land
held another beginning.
