When You Take the Bitter Pill

a poem

Bottles for reference.

Angry bitter, bottled up

So much so but not enough

Hatred bubbles up inside

Twisting turning as I unwind

Callous creature I become

My world unfolds

What have I done

Snarky little faces smirk

To laugh and cry is my resorts

Crazy thoughts consume my mind

Fester deeper with time

Lies that blanket all my walls

Quick to talk

Quick to fall

Black and bleakness bleach my eyes

A woman waits for her demise

Bed now covered deep with blood

That ran through veins

As she spoke of love

Bullets mark ceiling's floor

Ricochet off every door

Body still

Eyes look up

The end has come

Not her time

God be good

She wasn't ripe

Bottles deeper, bottles still

Filling up

A broken feel

No color can I see

Ready to blow

Can't seem to breathe

Angry bitter, bottled up

So much so that I erupt.
