When you dream in Full Moon

What used to be normal makes you feel like a loon

but silly things happen when you dream in full moon

backward is forward and upwards is down,

Psychadelic images, abstract smiles, distorted frown

Talking animals, wallpaper dances

Two left feet have yes and my chair often prances

Clouds are in neon, lighting is weird

Scary is friendly, Friendly is feared

You wake up with headaches, but you soon lie back down

Sweating like crazy in your comfy night gown,

Hazy as ever, can't the sick from the ill

every step feels like you're climbing steep hills

Your voice isn't yours, you sound like cartoons

your best friends are singing and tapping baboons

You get some fine inspiration from a daisy named Blue

And all that you know, somehow ain't true

So you twist and turn and drift deeper into it

the coat you just put on, you somehow outgrew it

Your hair is spaghetti or maybe fussili

Your skin feels like feathers, your teeth are now mealy

gritty and sandy as though you've eaten dirt

You fall off a cliff, but do not get hurt

Shadows mean doorways or wavy groovy halls

photos and paintings don't hang on the walls

I think I'm awake, but nope, I am in REM

Who's that in the mirror? A her or a him?

A few minutes is a lifetime and eternity is soon
