When Warriors Sleep

When warriors sleep,

Their dreams are not of sheep.

Beneath their closed eyelids,

Visions of battles and conquests bid.

Their minds still sharp,

Even in slumber's harp.

For they know that rest,

Is crucial to be at their best.

In distant lands they fought,

Where foes were fiercely wrought.

But now in peaceful repose,

They recharge for more heroic shows.

Let not their sleep be disturbed,

For they have earned this deserved

Moment of tranquil delight,

To ready themselves for the next fight.

When warriors sleep,

Their spirits do not retreat.

For they shall awaken with might,

And continue to defend what is right.
