When it's the next to the last

Beware the coming of great sorrow

As the clocks strike the midnight hour

Thoughts reach out until tomorrow

So quickly things have fallen to this

Times passing is unmatched to be sure

Rally not for things of lesser value

Find remembrances of things that are pure

When the clock strikes closer to the passing

And all the thoughts of things long gone do flood

There's still the need to finish the day

Before falling into the mess of yesterday's mud

Tick tock goes the clock as it rushes to twelve

Life never before went by so painfully fast

Don't hold onto the memories of the dammed

When the final tick gongs, they'll be out fast

There are no thoughts for the forsaken tomorrow

For it never seems to find a way to be

So cry not for all that appears lost

When tomorrow never comes, enter the eternal sea

For Fun
