When Time Tilts

And What Was Is No More

When Time Tilts

A gasp, a sigh

A grasp at when and why

A laugh, a cry

A last chance

For goodbye

A puff of wind

Never to be again

A path that ends

Wishing on could have beens

Farewell to friends

And things we've never done

When memories lend

Taking us back to what is gone

The world tilts

And time, unyielding flies

The flowers wilt

And so will you and I
