When The Truth Comes
There's one truth that none of us can escape.

There was once a great idea that meant too much
And as the world went on, people forgot that such things were there
They hustled, and bustled, and lived their lives, and such
Without ever acknowledging the truth, because they'd barely care
When the idea faltered, the world fell into disarray
But people just shrugged and acted as nothing mattered
It would get better someday, or so they would say
That was until all the king's horses and men had scattered
Did it for them, the lords of the land did not
For they were as inwardly focused as all the rest
Much like early kings, the rulers of today forgot
They'd sworn an oath to do their absolute, very best
Then it all came around, and the world was on fire
Joe Bloes and Jane Does were left to wonder
Had they only cared about their own foolish desire
Were they only at the top to see how much they could plunder
But what of the world as it began to unravel
Would they truly be facing their end with no hope
Rest not, weary ladies and gentlemen; they'll face the judge's gavel
And hopefully end up being known as a big dammed dope
But for the rest, you're basically screwed without lube
Because you listened to the wrong idiots in the news
As the world meets its end, you'll find out what you were, a rube
As the world collectively sings the blues
When the end begins, there's only one outcome
And yes, it's that fast track to hell
For God's greatest creation was only protected by some
And they're the only ones who'll hear the heavenly dinner bell
