When the Time Comes

A Short Poem

As the days creep by, it’s hard to make them last.

The more we wish to hold on, the harder it becomes.

Until they are only memories.

We seem to take things for granted when we have an abundance.

Yet, when we are running short, we wish for more.

Another hug, five more minutes, one more hello.

What would be your wish,

When the time comes?
