There is a Korean show called "When The Stars Gossip" and it is a bittersweet but wonderful story with one of my favorite actresses in it. It is the prompt to this wee brain that said what if the Stars are the true Gods? I always reflect on the Voyager picture of Earth as it heads out into the universe and how insignificant in size compared to the cosmos we are. Are the Gods we worship as small? In the end does the color of a person's skin matter? I can barely see the Earth much less even make out the borders in that final leaving picture. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHEN THE STARS GOSSIP

9/3/2026

When the stars gossip

Are we even a whisper

of their time

*******

The language of the mighty

Is beyond the ken

Of the lowly

*******

Their gossip is our life

When they cease to speak

We cease to exist

*******

Yet our Gods

on this whispered orb

Are bound to us...

By faith

by belief

*******

When the stars gossip

Not even the gods call them out

After all...

What came first?

the chicken or the egg..

the Gods or the stars?

*******

For now

Let the stars gossip

While we gather life

Measured in such mundane mendacities

like..

seconds and hours and years.

While millennias ae the scope of their beings

*******

While the stars gossip

Let us pretend we know a little of everything

and a lot of nothing

So when the stars end their gossip

And turn to face us with their might

Even ants will be our equal.
