When the Sky Begins to Fall

Hope will try to save everything

When the Sky Begins to Fall

Tonight I lift my eyes to the open dark sky,

and I feel the quiet stir of forgotten dreams.

The night is wide, yet soft around me,

like a place where hope still breathes.

I watch the colours fall in silver lines,

each one burning for a moment in time.

Falling stars that cross the silence,

as if the heavens are trying to speak.

I make my wishes without a voice,

letting my heart say what it needs.

For a second I believe in miracles,

and it feels like the universe hears me.

The earth stands still beneath my feet,

while the sky moves like a living thought.

I reach inside the part of me that still believes,

in the magic that childhood never forgot.

There is a truth in every falling star,

that nothing bright is meant to stay.

Beauty comes and beauty goes,

but I will hold the memory anyway.

So I stand beneath the burning rain,

with hope resting softly in my hands.

And I whisper my dreams to the night,

believing they will learn to land.
