When The Plot Has Its Way

New Stories Unfold

So, the plot did what it does

It twisted and thickened

Drawing conclusions

Hairs bristled; hearts quickened

*

Leading the witnesses

With weak, vague excuses

Lacking true evidence

To explain what produces

*

Let's get into it then

The story is juicy

And if it doesn't make sense

I'll be tasteful when choosing

*

A way to bend the agenda

And make it more thrilling

One that no-one can defend

If the audience is willing

*

So not to be suspect

No winning or losing

With a half empty cup

A light gentle bruising

*

Easy to cover-up

On the verge of amusing

In case I need to back-up

To explain what I'm doing

*

And do a re-route

The theme, as fluid, as water

Intentions doubt-free

I'm a T crosser, I dotter

*

Because we all know the plot

Is valued more than the truth

Next time you're in a spot

Case and point; there's your proof
