When the Moon Forgot to Shine

A story of love, loss, and the quiet courage to find light again.

The night was heavy, the air was still,

A shadow clung to the windowsill,

The stars looked on but dared not speak,

While the moon grew faint, and pale, and weak.

You held my hand, yet felt so far,

A lighthouse dimmed beneath the scar,

Your eyes had oceans, deep and wide,

But storms had claimed the calmer tide.

I whispered truths you could not hear,

Through tangled threads of doubt and fear,

And in that hush, I came to know,

That love can stay… and still let go.

The moon forgot its silver glow,

But dawn arrived, so soft and slow,

The sun, it reached where shadows curled,

And stitched new light into the world.

And I — I learned to stand alone,

To build my home from broken stone,

For even nights that lose their flame,

Can teach the heart to love the same.
