When the Canvas Cracks
Echoes of Dreams, Doubts, and a Heart That Refused to Stop Feeling

I gave my all with trembling hands,
Built my hopes like castles made of sand.
Each day I tried to stand up tall,
Yet somehow watched my world still fall.
The weight of voices filled my mind,
Expectations never left behind.
Family dreams upon my shoulders lay,
Growing heavier with every passing day.
I loved with a heart so fierce and true,
Believing promises would carry through.
But love became a shattered frame,
Leaving ashes where it once became flame.
My kindness opened every door,
Even when it left me hurting more.
I gave and gave until I could not see
What remained of the person inside me.
So I locked my heart behind a wall,
Silent echoes filling empty halls.
Not because I wished to feel no more,
But because I didn't know what I was fighting for.
My hands create, my soul paints light,
Turning pain to colors in the night.
Yet doubt creeps in with whispered artless words,
Making me question every dream I've heard.
"Is it enough?" the shadows ask.
"Can talent survive beneath this mask?"
And every brushstroke, every line,
Feels judged before it's even mine.
Second thoughts become a crowded sea,
Pulling certainty away from me.
I search for answers, search for signs,
Among the ruins of unfinished designs.
Still somewhere beneath the ache and fear,
A quiet voice remains sincere.
Though broken, burdened, scarred apart,
There is still a fire within this heart.
And maybe one day I'll finally see
That surviving was its own victory.
That even when everything seemed torn apart,
I was creating art from a breaking heart.
