What if you don't like lemonade?

When life gives you lemons, you're told to make lemonade.

Why are we always told to make lemonade? What if you don't like lemonade?

I get it's a metaphor, but why are we making lemonade and not just taking the bag of lemons to our enemies?

Metaphors are weird because some of these don't even make sense. It's always, "that's how it is," but what if it doesn't have to be?

Why and when did we become sheep and allow things to become the social norm, and say things like, "That's how it is," when things are questioned?

I can't be the only one who stays up late thinking about these things?
