My Mornings Are Not The Same.

This morning,

I woke up happy,

I saw the glow of golden sunlight shining

through my window,

And I knew that it was going to be a great day.

Yesterday;

I woke up to darkness,

I felt empty

Even though rays of sunshine danced,

And birds in trees sang their songs

of love.

The day before that,

I felt like I was alone,

I hated my body, looks,

and hair;

I was afraid to step outdoors,

Because I knew they would all stare.

When I wake up,

My mornings are not the same,

I wake up with a smile,

I wake up with a sad heart,

And;

I wake up with tears,

I wake up broken,

And my friends?

They don't understand that pain.
