When I met the one

My one.

By R.N.M.N.RPublished 5 years ago • 1 min read

My first sight was on a screen

I didn't know if you were good or mean

I wasn't sure how old you were

The photo was a little unclear

Two weeks later, I met you in your car

Face to face, we thought of going to a bar

We went for dinner, I think we had some chicken

Was my third sight, my first sight? I wondered, a little broken.

I liked your smile, your blue eye contact with me

I confessed the third finger on my left hand was hardly free.

The first time we met and I was telling all

Why was a young divorcee, so easy to fall?

Did I not learn my lesson in June 2015?

In my bank account I had barely a bean

My last so called love was a nightmare

The ending hadn't been fair.

When I met you, you had been hurt too

We soon decided we deserved to be loved true

No one would lie, betray or fight

You and me, we swore we would do it right.

I am not sure what was our first sight

Picture us, in the car us or us at lunch?

I suppose five years on, it doesn't matter much.

About the Creator

R.N.M.N.R

Is it a very long name? Or something else? For now, let me have my little air of mystery. I overshare most of the time, so this is something of a guilty secret and pleasure. I like romance, horror and the two together where possible.
