When I Look Out My Window

When I look out my window, it's special, the sea

The colours, for one thing, just fascinate me

One day it's green, sometimes it's grey

It’s best when it's blue like it is today

When I look out my window and stare at the sea

There is always something for me to see

Some things are clear, others are not

What a great view that I have got.

When I look out my window as people go by

Some of them walk and others run by

The brave go out swimming, it's winter you know

Then there’s the surfers always ready to go

When I look out my window, some things are clear

On days when I’m lucky the dolphins appear

Some things are tricky, but still fascinate me.

Look, there's a whale could that really be?

When I look out my window, I get lost in the boats

I’m fascinated by anything that floats

Sailboats saunter past, they found that breeze

Speedboats zig and zag around them with ease.

When I look out my window, it's really a charm

There’s always something to make me feel calm

Living right by the ocean, truly I’m blessed

If you could see it, you’d be impressed

[A/n: I am truly blessed with the view that I have. I waste (tongue in cheek) so many hours just watching the world go by. There is always something different going on. It is true inspiration. From the surfers (that I wrote about last week) to the boats, the dolphins and even the whales on their migratory trip down south, it never ceases to amaze me.]
