When I Cry, I See Blood

When I cry, I see blood,

Tears mingling with crimson floods,

In the shadows of night, in the harshness of light,

My soul’s jagged edges, a scarlet sight.

Underneath the surface, where the heart should beat,

Lies a battlefield, harsh, incomplete.

A war waged in silence, in the quiet of the night,

When I cry, I see blood; the tears take flight.

Eyes glistening, not with dew,

But with memories, bitter and true.

Each drop a story, each tear a past,

Flowing freely, not meant to last.

In the mirror, I see reflections,

Not just of me, but my imperfections.

Cracks in the glass, lines on my face,

When I cry, I see blood, in every place.

The past is a dagger, cutting so deep,

Wounds that fester, promises I couldn’t keep.

Each betrayal, each harsh word said,

Etched in my heart, in hues of red.

Love is a battlefield, so they say,

But my battlefield is where my soul lays.

In the trenches of my mind, in the darkest parts,

When I cry, I see blood, staining my heart.

Ghosts of yesteryears, they linger still,

Whispering secrets, against my will.

Their voices are knives, cutting the air,

When I cry, I see blood, pain laid bare.

Beneath the moon’s soft, silvery sheen,

I stand, a warrior unseen.

Armor cracked, sword laid low,

When I cry, I see blood, in the afterglow.

In the daylight, I wear a mask,

Hiding the pain, the monumental task.

Smile painted, laugh rehearsed,

When I cry, I see blood, and it’s the worst.

Darkness falls, my defenses break,

The dam within begins to shake.

Floodgates open, the pain pours out,

When I cry, I see blood, I scream and shout.

Not just tears, but lifeblood drains,

From the wounds, from the pains.

Rivers of red, cascading down,

When I cry, I see blood, and nearly drown.

My heart’s a chalice, filled to the brim,

With sorrow’s nectar, bitter and grim.

Each heartbeat echoes, a painful thud,

When I cry, I see blood, a haunting flood.

The cuts are deep, the scars are raw,

Life’s brutal lessons, fate’s cruel law.

In the silence, in the dead of night,

When I cry, I see blood, a soul’s fight.

Hope flickers, a distant star,

But the wounds remind me, of what we are.

Fragile beings, bound to break,

When I cry, I see blood, for my own sake.

For in the tears, in the blood that flows,

There’s a cleansing, a truth that grows.

A testament to battles fought and lost,

When I cry, I see blood, at any cost.

Each drop that falls, each tear that stains,

Carries a piece of my life’s refrains.

Songs of sorrow, hymns of pain,

When I cry, I see blood, a crimson rain.

In the aftermath, the silence screams,

Echoes of nightmares, of broken dreams.

But in the stillness, a truth remains,

When I cry, I see blood, breaking chains.

For tears are not just sorrow’s release,

They are the testament, the pieces.

Of a heart that’s loved, that’s dared to feel,

When I cry, I see blood, but I also heal.

Through the crimson haze, I see the light,

A faint glimmer, piercing the night.

For in the pain, there’s also grace,

When I cry, I see blood, I find my place.

A place where scars tell stories true,

Of battles won, of the old and new.

A place where tears and blood combine,

When I cry, I see blood, it’s a sign.

A sign that I’ve lived, that I’ve loved so deep,

That the pain is a promise I’ve chosen to keep.

For in every tear, in every drop of red,

When I cry, I see blood, life’s thread.

Woven tight, with joy and pain,

A tapestry of the sunshine and rain.

Each thread a memory, a piece of me,

When I cry, I see blood, it sets me free.

Free to feel, free to be,

Free to embrace my own destiny.

For the blood is not just a mark of strife,

When I cry, I see blood, I see life.

Life in all its raw, unfiltered grace,

In every line, in every trace.

Of love and loss, of hope and fear,

When I cry, I see blood, it’s all so clear.

Clear that the tears are not in vain,

That in the blood, there’s much to gain.

For it’s in the breaking, in the pain,

When I cry, I see blood, I rise again.

Rise from the ashes, like a phoenix true,

With wings of crimson, cutting through.

The darkness, the despair, the night,

When I cry, I see blood, I find my light.

So here I stand, no longer afraid,

Of the tears, of the blood, of the memories made.

For in every tear, in every drop of red,

When I cry, I see blood, I forge ahead.

Ahead to a future, bright and bold,

With stories yet to be told.

For the tears are just the beginning, not the end,

When I cry, I see blood, I mend.

Mend the pieces, stitch the seams,

Of a heart that’s lived a thousand dreams.

For in every tear, in every drop of red,

When I cry, I see blood, I’m not dead.

I’m alive, I’m whole, I’m here,

With every tear, with every fear.

For it’s in the crying, in the blood I see,

When I cry, I see blood, I find me.
