What Will You Carry Forward?

I carry with me today’s hope.

I’ll blissfully remain in the shadows until the light has broken the cycle.

The season is changing.

The air is turning brisk and light again.

New chapters await my waiting hands.

I’ll carry the challenge of being enough.

I’ll not wait to hold my breath until the next season is upon us.

What Deserves to Come With You Into the Next Season?

 Dignity

 Life

 Smiles and laughter

As I remember who I am

And who I’m meant to be

What Are You Keeping?

I’ll keep my story alive.

I’ll keep the pen moving as I write it.

What Are You Leaving Behind That No Longer Serves You?

The broken feelings,

The hurt

The tears shed in pain and anger.

I’ll leave behind the chapter that’s been completed,

And look forward to the new one.

Come sit with me awhile. Writing is my favorite kind of magic—conjuring dark worlds, forbidden souls, and stories that haunt long after the last page. Lately, I’ve wandered deeper into psychology, the mind, and the shadows within us all...
