What was it?

You look upon a peculiar sight, at the peak of noon daylight,

The scent of the flora, a pleasant delight, the sound of rushing waters flow,

And the heart would fondly grow,

The subtle gesture of kindness shown, the stirring of such desire to care,

To reap what one would sew through simple words made known,

The yearning to surely dare,

Hope deferred throughout seasons past, the choice now lay before the mast,

Then to compare but then contrast, if such love would surely last!

What once was a simple gesture seen throughout the day,

Now seen as a token of affection, more than simple words could say,

What is it about this right person, that would make you want to see this through?

To make your heart want to feel, to have them belong, to you…
