What's My Job?

Not a story, but a poem.

***

It's kind of complicated,

In fact, it makes me feel frustrated.

***

I'm currently working in a business;

Though it leaves me with dizziness,

And sometimes I come home with a major stiffness.

***

I pray and pray,

At the break of every day.

For a sign that tells me,

I can do what I dream.

***

My dream consists of being some kind of writer,

Where I shine brighter and lighter...

Pulling out miraculous all-nighters,

I'm a fighter with a highlighter...

Highlighting the important aspects of my life.

***

I want to make an impact,

That is more than a fact.

I want to be a positive influence,

And not be a discontinuance.

All I want is fame and stardom,

I just don't want any more boredom.

***

I'm tired of the business life,

I desire to express my artsy side.

I'm tired of hiding through lies,

Let me push that life aside.

And let that side come alive.
