What’s Left

Toxic Spill

Aren't we all a little "crazy"

don't we tilt left, on the level

We've become numb to the amazing

falling victim to the devil

Little thoughts used to amuse me

now they hold my balance hostage

Making the whole of humanity

a hole I must acknowledge

All these thoughts inside my head

swarm together all at once

Like a missile filled with lead

collect like bullets on my tongue

One by one making a mark

on the targets to destroy

Settling on my face, a smirk

anticipating unending joy

But instead what leaves my mouth

are cutting words I soon regret

When every intent has been drowned

with ugliness I can't recant
