What's It Like To Feel Powerless

A victim I have always been.

Shaken by old memories and new.

I stare in the distance watching as I see I have no power.

No Power to say no.

No power at all.

Powerless can be a boy or a girl.

Haunted by the memories of the past.

With no say on how I am treated.

The nightmares have eaten me alive.

Even survivors hate feeling powerless.

While others celebrate holidays I am stuck alone reflecting on past mistakes I wish I could take back.

Remorse eats me alive.

That's my gift, regret and remorse of past mistakes Merry Christmas.
