What Now?
You get up.
Surrounded by darkness.
You don't know what's coming.
Each day sounds the same.
Pain. Misery. It hurts. You feel it inside. Maybe it's boredom. Maybe it's signs of depression.
You look out the window. Same scenery. That same DAMN neighbour with that same DAMN music.
You turn on your TV. Violence on the news. Constantly hearing about a saviour being made in a lab. Told this is the new normal. Your friends say It is what it is.
These walls close in. You feel like your freedom is slipping away. Living under Stalin must have been easier. You can't wait for this to be over. Sound familiar?
STOP.
You get up.
Earlier then yesterday.
You workout.
You clean your house.
You work.
Do what needs to be done. Change the radio station and listen to something new, fresh. Leave the TV off and start writing, painting, drawing, yoga, meditation, reading. You learn a new language. Practice your awful cooking skills. You go for a walk. You take a new walking route. This time you slow your mind to take in something new on that route. You stretch your body at the end of the day. You eat healthy. Want to know why?
BECAUSE.
You're not dead.
This is not the worst.
Change your attitude.
Each moment is a joy. Spend it like it was going to be your last.
Smile. More. Often.
Regret nothing. Learn when you can. Keep on fighting.
There is no end. You can't hide from something which will never end, so enjoy it. Ride it. Live it. Love it
