What is this world we live in
Are we here because a child’s sitting
On a turtle swimming
Through a starry night, is dreaming?
A marble in a jar forgotten
Childs toy that feels alive
Reading books that have no meaning,
Strict and straight and full of lies
What is this world we live in?
If it’s a dream, am I the dreamer?
What is this world we live in ?
A bubble blown inside a bath
Viewed through an enlarging glass
To find ourselves floating through
A multi colored sky
What is this world we live in
If it’s a dream am I the dreamer?
What is this world we live in?
I have my own colors
my own paint
My own pastel smudges
A Renoir painting in a mist....
Why must I be a photograph
We believe reflects the truth
When all us dreamers know
We’re broken mirrors posing questions.

Hello! I'm an APRA award winning singer sonwriter, I've always been worried to submit my work as poetry as I'm dyslexic and inevitably get spelling wrong, but here goes nothing! Glad to finally be getting my poetry out there!
