When you condemn money as the root of evil
do you realize you are condemning your own power
The power to sustain
or to destroy
Why then is money the first thing we blame
if it is so dangerous
Is it because we do not want to admit the truth
That it is not evil at all
only misdirected
That money may be the only force
capable of confronting evil
Every dollar is a vote
Every vote shapes the fate of a company
A company that employs thousands
or collapses into nothing
All because the votes stop coming
And suddenly we remember
the power we were taught to fear
The quiet power sitting in accounts
on sidewalks
in piggy banks
Ask yourself where you cast your vote each day
Because every day
you are electing the world you live in
