What is the color of a star?

What is the color of a star? Is it-

The soaring Cerulean of a clear sky,

or the gentle Green of spring?

The Red crest of the cardinal that flies by,

or the color of Moonlight the night will bring?

Or perhaps the color of a star is starlight

But then what color is starlight?

Starlight can be the Cerulean of the sky,

the gentle Green of spring

It can be the Red crest of the cardinal up high,

infused with the color of Moonlight the night will bring

Starlight is the color of a star,

The one every one of us glance from afar

The colors of this world have brought

wonder and insight that others have not.

Starlight is the color of a star,

And starlight is everything we wish it to be

The door of dreams stays ajar

Just waiting for us to see

What defines ‘color’ in each one of us

Is just like the starlight of a star-

We are only bound by the invisible limits we place on ourselves, so very subpar

Starlight is unbound.

It is created from all these colors,

yet it is the color of a star, as I’ve found

The monochromatic scale of life is lifted

As the colors in the world are shifted

Staring into the night sky, I look up high

Towards the dreams and wishes that form in the sky

So,

A star’s color can be the Cerulean of the sky,

The gentle Green of spring.

It can be the Red crest of the cardinal up high,

Infused with the color of Moonlight the night will bring.

It is so much more than just ‘starlight’

Humans reflect this spectrum of color as they are

As many, and as One in the night

Apart we are the unique colors that make up the color of a star

Together we are ‘starlight’

That is the color of a star.
