What is Labor Day?

It is a holiday celebrating

the working man and woman.

Could it be a patriotic holiday;

ahh, could be

for there are the military who

really do not get the day off

most cases.

Last 'holiday' of the summer season

for you can hear the final sounds of

the summer insects dying down and

even feel a slight nip to the air as the

sun goes down, and

then you might feel a bit melancholy

at the thought of the coming autumn,

but then remember the fun of raking

and jumping in big piles of leaves and

having bonfires and hot chocolate while

wearing hoodies and sweaters and keeping

the chill off of you.

Labor Day a day to work and yet relax and

have fun on the last day of summer.

Happy Labor Day!!
