They say no matter how one disguises themselves it is always a self-portrait.
So then why bother to disguise ourselves?
Why attempt to mask who we really are?
Wouldn’t that make every character we make, every mask we put on a critic on ourselves?
It was said we all wear masks.
However, which one is real?
If every disguise is a self-portrait, then what are we criticizing?
If the mask we wear is the real one, would that not make our true face fake?
Such trivialities bore me…
Are we not more than our masks?
Are we merely flawed human beings?
Does it really matter how we define ourselves?
Sometimes we forget who we really are…
...That is until the “mask” falls off
(Or comes on…)
