What is children's poetry? Is it suppose to teach a certain elite subject or is it just to have fun learning to read in a musical way.

Children's poems can teach rhythm, melody, and tone much like music.

Poetry is music without the musical notes. There is a certain cadence to the way the words flow from line to line.

There is a certain meter to reading and writing these poems or any poem.

There is the idea of iambic pentameter and other meters as well. There are rhymes, haikus, limericks, sonnets, and lyric to see an image and admire.

So many more to write and read and learn in a different way.
