Or could it be more?
Can a key open
Vast treasures?
Money,
Heirlooms,
Assets,
Memories,
Can a key open all of these?
Some might say
A key can open
The secrets of a heart
Whether they be evil or good.
Thus when people ask
What is a key?
What does it do?
What is its purpose?
It’s a device that opens locks,
Whether they be physical, metaphorical, or surreal.
What is a lock?
The key to this
Can be found
In the future.
