Have you ever thought
maybe you’re the toxic one?

Prone to attracting those who use,
people who abuse,
and you think it’s because you’re an empath.
They sense your light.
But what if you’re not right?

What if you’re just like they are?
Or worse yet,
they’re the victims
of your narcissistic wrath—
and you didn’t even realize it?

Wouldn’t that be crazy?

Spending your life
thinking you’re the victim
while victimizing others.

Does it make you innocent
if you didn’t know?

It’s time to let go
of the idea of who hurt who.

Move on.
Work on internal healing.

No more dealing with the pain.
No more keeping score
of who caused what,
who started it,
who was to blame.

Learn to start over again.
Learn to be a better person,
no matter who really was to blame.
