Author's reward corner with a space theme

Students often know more than you think they do.

Students often know less than they think they do.

Kids don't care what you know.

Most kids don't care what you want them to learn.

KIDS CARE HOW YOU MAKE THEM FEEL.

*

Sometimes, students will teach you something new.

Sometimes, students will thank you.

That's a gold medal moment.

Once you grab their hearts,

Students will surprise you in remarkable, fascinating ways.

Teaching is challenging

Teaching is exhausting

Teaching can be intimidating, humorous, gratifying.

Above all,

Teaching is rewarding because of...

Lightbulb moments,

Smiles,

Hugs,

Shaping tomorrow's leaders.
