What Goes Around...

face down on the concrete

eyes frozen in place

that secret you're keepin'

frozen there, on your face

fire on a wire

frayed rope in your hand

impotent the desire

to get up again

*

seems you're being erased

*

flies swarm your intentions

mitigating the malodor

jugular venous distention

has you prostrate on the floor

a poor taste in humour

a play on words in bad taste

some would call you a late bloomer

a victim of games yet to face

Comeuppance has found you

and those who know you will smile

at one time playing the fool

everything comes round in good time
