What Dreams May Come

A Poem

Slumber, sweet slumber

Flying free

No fear

No pain

No heartache

Only exhilaration,

Strength,

Weightlessness

*

Slumber, sweet slumber

Woodland free

Climbing,

Hanging on branches

Rolling in leaves

Being a statue

For forest friends to investigate

And on which to perch

*

Slumber, sweet slumber

Swimming free

Floating,

Diving

No need to breathe

Friends with sea creatures

Racing games

Underwater laughter

*

What dreams may come

May offer

Escape,

Peace

May offer

Contentment,

New energy

Slumber, sweet slumber,

Whatever dreams may come.
