What does it mean to come home?
What does it mean to come home?
I think that changes as we roam
Newfound freedom from the places we go
Changes the feel of the places we know
Our souls’ adventurous, invigorated essence
Transforming our perceived presence
Our hearts’ ever expanding --
To change the plane upon which we’re standing
Being cracked wide open with love
To innerstand we all came from up above
Our earthly home is but one realm
But it’s the soul, you see, at the helm
The brightest living part of you
The driving force in all that you can do--
Finds its home right inside your chest
So you can be your very best
Home defined would be to the soul’s disservice
And would limit its very emergence
For it was never meant to be bound
Merely to spread joy all around
Though you may have four familiar walls and faces
And find much comfort in those places
The home that cannot be damaged or abandoned
Is the one that your chest commanded
The soul always knows the way
If we will let it out to play
You are always where you are meant to be
Trusting that chest of yours is key
Follow your path and stay brave
For finding itself is what the soul will crave
Follow wherever it should roam
There, darling, you will find your home
