Sometimes I look at people and get lost in aspects of them.
I notice things that they don't think people will even care about.
The way they throw their head back and laugh , the way the shake their head before crying.
What color they radiate.
Usually when that's said , people don't ask me what I mean but everyone radiates a color.
I one time described my ex girlfriend as yellow.
the way the evening sun pour through windows , touching all the places in your home filling it with a yellow glow.
or how butter flowers make a little yellow shade against your throat in the right light.
warm yellow , a safe , beautiful yellow.
she smiled , and the room bursted with that amazing yellow and I felt warm and happy.
Then people would ask what color they were.
dying to know what made them different.
my spouse , makes me think of blue.
calm.
welcoming.
mysterious.
this blue grey that comes before a storm could be seen in their eyes and I knew it meant trouble. in the most frightening loving way.
I loved people. and their colors in every way I could
but sometimes people hear their colors and think "No. I don't like brown. Brown is gross !" they wanted to be a wonderful red. or just beautiful like "someone else was"
but they just see brown. the same way they would see a feature on them. they don't like their brown eyes. or their crooked nose.
yet through my eyes I see radiance. beauty. oak trees and honey.
sometimes you have to see yourself through other eyes to know just how beautiful your colors are and get lost in aspects of them.
