When I look upon a blank page in a red moleskin

I see a whole world yet to be drawn or written

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Well I do say,

There's something so intriguing and mysterious About a white blank page from a blue folder

It's a teleportation machine,

you can travel anywhere in a few words,

any place in a few thoughts,

It's a method of time travel,

a diary entry,

a record of your day,

a list of to do's and plans for the future

It's how a piece of yourself can live forever

It's sometimes a crystal clear window

And yet sometimes a shimmering silver mirror

Sometimes a pink twinkling wish

Sometimes a yellow vintage key to an ornate purple door

To a magical place you've never been

Or a serene place you forgot but recalled serendipitously

Or a lush place that was waiting for you to finally arrive

Sometimes it's an orange memory,

you see and hear and understand,

Like it's your own, even when you know that it's someone else's

I can smell the scent of freshly rained on green grass

Feel a cool crisp air

It's the beginning of something new

It can be described as possibility that is limitless

It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen

And in that moment I am limitless

It's the most wonderful feeling I've ever felt

I'm almost certain...that's how it feels...to fly

It tastes like freshly baked caramel brown apple pie with a sugary crust

So toasty and warm

The creation of something new

Is so very thrilling

Yet comforting at the same time

In that moment I know I'm truly alive

Knowing

We're all capable

of the remarkable

A message I want to share
