well crafted tiles develop colour over time, as do I

some things get clearer. some don't.

even now, brilliant

reflecting to you

small flecks bent in sunlight

eyes thrice colour, mine

elaborate that they changed their mind

with each layered gaze, beckons peering into

moss hidden blue pools, covered in

fuzzy mental overlays

like a layered glaze

iris retract, colour refract

against a cool white base

how it bakes, peach in the sun

the skin of my face

ten minutes, I'm done

immense heat constant within me

turns the wettest clay to its eternity

beauty, quickly, after an ancient painted effort

care and skill, having crafted myself until

I'm sweet enough to bear repeating

surreal poetry
